Email communication between centre staff and retailers can prove difficult to implement and administer. The app is designed to give a visual indication of occupancy within retail units across the centre. It can be operated in three modes: live occupancy data, scheduled occupancy monitoring, monitoring of void units.

Firearms & Weapons Attack
Following the tragic events at the Nairobi shopping mall in Kenya there is a heightened awareness of the possibility of a firearms terrorist-attack in a UK shopping centre. CONTEST sets out the Government’s strategy for countering terrorism. An important element of the strategy is to create safer places and buildings that are less vulnerable to terrorist attack and, should an attack take place, where people are better protected from its impact.
